We are looking for a L3 NVQ Site Technician apprentice following the commercial pathway to work in Cambridge area. This apprenticeship will focus mainly on estimating and quantity surveying. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who would like to learn about the commercial side of construction. The qualification will also include elements of; Health, Safety and Welfare; Sustainability, Design, Science, Materials, Maths and Building Technology in Construction; Project Management; Graphical Detailing; Surveying; Finance; Design; Law and Planning Procedures. The ideal candidate will already have completed a trade related qualification or have some experience working in construction. We are looking for someone who has a real interest in the financial side of construction. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody looking to further their career and reach their full potential.
The ideal candidate will probably have already achieved a qualification in a construction related discipline or have experience working on a construction site. Achieving a L3 Site Technician NVQ will enable you to carry out your duties with confidence and help you to communicate effectively at work. You will attend college and work onsite to gain the vital experience needed to become an effective Site Technician. Although it isn’t necessary for the apprentice to drive, the ability to get to site is vital.
The successful candidate will have good initiative and a willingness to learn, they will also enjoy working with people and as part of a team. You will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships. A real interest in construction is essential as is a strong work ethic and a desire to progress into a management role.
Level 2 NVQ or GCSE’s grade C and above in English and B and above in Maths (or equivalent). An offer of employment is subject to you taking and passing the CSCS test and a Drug and Alcohol test.
