An exciting opportunity to learn and develop technical skills in a small medical diagnostics company focused on developing and manufacturing quality diagnostics for use in resource limited settings. The role holder will support the production and validation of test kits and instruments. DRW is a small spin-out company from the University of Cambridge. DRW are committed to tackling some of the world's most serious infectious diseases by making widely available breakthrough point-of care diagnostics developed in the Diagnostic Development Unit of Cambridge University. DRW is currently focused on providing rapid Early Infant Diagnosis (EID) as well as Viral Load (VL) measurement for those living with HIV, thereby enabling test-and-treat facility in even the most challenging and resource-limited environments.
Qualifications required: Minimum of 5 GCSEs, grades A-C (or predicted grades). These must include English, Maths, and a science subject. An AS or A-Level in science would be an advantage but is not essential. The role holder will be responsible for: Assembly of test devices, test components, and kit boxes according to protocols and complying with ISO certification Completing required quality control documentation to the expected standard Testing diagnostic instrument to confirm they functionality Monitoring laboratory equipment Documenting receipt of laboratory goods Assisting in general duties required for the smooth running of the laboratories Ordering and maintaining consumables Assisting with administration tasks as required.
Weekly wage: £180
